Chess puzzles from real games
There are 1,764 puzzles here, each one a position from a real game in the open Lichess puzzle database, rated from 503 to 2756. Every puzzle has one clear best continuation, so solving them trains the habit that wins games: spotting the forcing move before your opponent does.
How the puzzles work
Your opponent has just moved. Find the best reply on the board; if the line continues, the opponent answers and you find the next move too. Your first try at each puzzle, without a hint, moves your puzzle rating up or down, so the collection can recommend positions near your level. Progress is kept in this browser.
